Cook Prepare meals, wash kitchen utensils used for meal preparation
Assistant Cook Assist cook as requested, prepare pot of water for dish washing, supervise meal cleanup, set up common dining area
Fire Care for and prepare equipment used to cook on and refuel if necessary, gather firewood
Site Cleanup Clean up latrine and campsite
Meal Cleanup Clean tables, common areas, food supplies, secure bear bag, stow all cleaned utensils in chuck boxes
Water Get drinking water and wash dishes/mess kit
 


Post-Camping Checklist

Items in italics should be done as soon as you get home.
 Set up  tent if used. Dry; wipe out floor and outside (if needed).
 Empty trash from backpack.
 Empty and rinse water bottles (Do Not store closed).
 Rinse and dry water purifier, if used.
 Roll out tarp and mattress pad; store away. Mattress pad should be stored flat or inflated.
 Dry out boots, gloves, and rope if wet. If needed, recondition boots once dry.
 Remove all clothing—wet or dry—and wash.
 Remove sleeping bag and liner from bag. Air-dry for a few days. Never leave sleeping bag in stuff-sack.
 Store unused food properly.
 Make Notes of items forgotten for next trip.
 Take a shower!

 Clean pots, pans, and utensils (not Mom).
 Clean, dry, and sharpen knives or hatchet, if needed.
 Shake out empty backpack.
 Replenish any used items (TP, napkins, soap, first aid materials, etc.)
 Repair any equipment prior to next trip.
