Camp Geiger is near St. Joseph, Mo. It is older and smaller than H. Roe Bartle camp in Osceola, Mo. but very nice. One of many scenic views from the bluff over looking the Missouri river. A similar place with the same name.. you'll know when you know... Younger scouts get instructions on lashing. Geiger A lot can be accomplished in a short time with good technique and teamwork. These scouts are lashing poles together to make a religious ceremonial building called a sukkah.
A father and son lead the troop in the religious ceremony of sukkot. Who said camping is roughing it? Cherry cobbler dutch oven style.
This view is very reminiscent of the view from point at Osceola prior to the Osage river being dammed to form Truman reservoir. |
