The first night at camp, we had a camp wide campfire. One the second night we had a campfire in our camp, just for us. We had skits and songs and some musical entertainment on the bongos. Isn't he a Shaman instead of a Tom Tom Beater?

There was a bit of difficulty in getting our fire started. It rained most of the day and the wood was wet. No problem for a scout though.

One of the many things that can be done at scout camp is working on advancement skills. Here, Ethan L. practices lashing two poles together for his First Class Rank.

Camp is about having fun. Scouts here are taking their after lunch break to relax back at their tent. Daniel F. is getting pretty good on the xylophone.

Four of the first year campers are learning about knife, axe and saw safety. The program is called Tote N Chip.

This is the staff building at the Lakefront. It has special significance for Troop 61. Al Beitchman came down to the lakefront with the troop before our canoe trip. He explained that in 1979, Troop 61 gathered funding for this building to be built. A plaque on the wall dedicates the building in our name.
