The twelfth point of the Scout Law: A scout is reverent. All dominations are represented at camp. Most have their own chapel or place of worship. This is the Protestant chapel on Sunday morning.

"Soaring eagles in flight with ease,
Wishing to learn their secrets while viewing them through the trees.

So many spirits have traveled through here,
Commands my heart to return year after year.

Resting my body, easing my soul,
Cleansing my spirit, just like the days of old.

Searching for answers to questions untold,
Oh Great Mic-O-Say Spirit, its You I behold."

One of Troop 61 Assistant Scoutmasters was inspired to write this poem about this special place called "The Point". This bluff overlooks a scenic view of the Truman Reservoir. It is a quite and peaceful place surrounded by cedar trees. We come here every year on Sunday morning to reflect and share our feelings about the past, the present and our future. This Sunday morning is even more special. It is Father's Day and Visitors Day.
