District Camporee - Blue and Grey Park, Lone Jack, Mo.

Our flags flew over the 61 portion of the Camporee

After breakfast and flag raising, all scouts were participating in activities that would be credited towards advancement and or merit badge requirements. Here, a discussion and demonstration for Indian Lore merit badge. Other areas included First Aid, Knot tying, 

Map and Compass with field Orienteering

Also part of the activities included board games where participants could earn puzzle pieces for prizes. Our troop won first place in many categories. Ben S. and Andrew also won first place in the district's cooking competition. They were awarded a reversible, cast iron camp stove griddle!

Half way through the planned activities, scouts returned to their campsite for lunch

After lunch, a quick game of football with scouts from several troops participating 

Many scouts and Scouters worked hard to build a camp fire for the evenings festivities, even some scouts from other troop pitched in and did their daily good turn.

Each Troop was invited to participate in a pumpkin carving contest. Of course we won
