The farm pond held interest for fishing and canoeing. It was a muddy place after the thunderstorm the night before.

Even though on dry land, Scouts were given instructions on how to paddle a canoe. Safety was stressed, life jackets required.

Rub a dub dub, three scouts in a tub.

 

Milking a goat

All scouts were given lessons on how to milk a goat and how to make cheese from goats milk, definitely a 'hands on' operation.
